“I due Gigli” is a bed and breakfast situated in a street once called “Via di Valle Lunga” (road of the long valley).
The building has its shoulders towards the station, and is at the end of Via Cavour on the left.
The dwelling is a 2 storey building in front of an ancient Palazzo, which belonged to an ancient Guelfa family: “The noble Gozzari”, already known in 1200.
This family conferred upon itself a coat of arms bearing two silver lilies with crossed stems on a blue background.
This famous family became extinct in 1700 and its Palazzo passed to the Alticozzi family and then to the Dukes of San Clemente and then to the Cassi family.
